| Task Forces |
Three task forces have been set up. Their role is to advise the NCC on specific issues.
- The IPR task deals with intellectual property rights. It is composed by J. Harcup as the chair, three legal experts from participants organizations from three different countries, one industrial participant and one chairperson of a network area. Its prime role is to deal with the protection of knowledge that originates from the scientific work done in the network (see also knowledge management).
- The industrial liaison and exploitation task is composed of the industrial partners of SoftComp and two scientists from academia, and is chaired by J. Harcup. It advices the NCC on how to regulate the contacts to industry and implement scientific results established within the network in an industrial environment. It identifies promising application technologies, and arrange the series of review workshops with industry. In order to outreach beyond the network, the task force establishes an innovation marketing programme on technology transfer in particular towards SME’s.
- The gender equality task is composed by gender experts from three different participating laboratories and one industrial company, and is chaired by P. Bassereau. Following the EU main stream strategy to promote gender equality, the NoE implements measures to encourage women participation in research. The principal role of the GET is to implement the NoE’s gender equality plan, based on the modern institutional approach of “Gender Mainstreaming “.
The task forces report to the NCC every six months.
